Here are some links to some of the sites we have enjoyed.

Sailing Blogs:

Simply Sailing online – Connie and Dave’s blog about their cruising lifestyle – these guys are definitely in the category of ‘simply does it’ – no electric waffle makers to be found on their boat!

Cruising LeaLea – Follow the adventures of Chuck and Laura aboard their Albin Vega 27 – also follow on Youtube – great stuff!

The Retirement Project – Tim and Deb aboard Kintala, a Tartan 42.  Have also published a book “How Not to Buy a Cruising Boat” – an excellent expose to the world of dodgy boat business

Faoin Speir – Leonard and Mary aboard Faoin Speir – also follow their Youtube channel with their journey of moving from the land to aboard Faoin Speir in the fabulously sunny country of Ireland

Keep Turning left – Dylan Winter’s adventures of an old bloke poking up rivers in the UK on a small boat.  Also produces excellent videos, found both on his site and/or on Youtube.

The Cynical Sailor and His Salty Sidekick – Just discovered this great blog from Scott and Ellen about their travels.

General Stuff:

Compass Yacht Group – A wealth of information for owners of the venerable Compass 28 and all the other Compass variants – the site boasts an active and friendly forum.

Deckee – an Australian boating site with lots of good information

Sailboatdata.com –  lots of data and statistics about various types of yachts
